Looks like someone else likes piglet!
Well, sometimes she can dress herself :)

Callie and Tristan, our next door neighbor who's only 1 month older than Callie!

Halloween 2006

Believe it or not I had a really long blog all typed up a few days ago and I got distracted (go figure.) When I came back to the computer, the program had timed out and I lost the whole thing!!! I was really upset especially since I finally wrote about Gustav's 1 year doctors appointment and Callie potty training herself!

Yep! Callie has been completely potty trained for about a month now! She wears big girl undies all day and I usually put her in a pull up at night, just in case. She hasn't had any accidents so far! Yeah Callie! I must admit it's really nice not having to change two diapers all day. She can even do everything by herself (as long as there's a stool near the toilet so she can get on) she even knows how to put all her clothes on too! She has progressed amazingly, as she's done her whole life. She is like a miniature adult sometimes and the things she can do amazes me! She is polite - she compliments people on their clothes and asks them how their work/nap etc. was. She loves the Little Mermaid and most recently the 12 Dancing Princesses (she calls it dancing barbies - which is what it really is.) She has a new friend, who lives next door. Her name is Tristan and she is only a month older than Callie! I'll try to post a picture after this. There's so much more to tell, but I better move on to Gustav because otherwise I'll never catch up.

Gustav just turned 14 months old and although he is highly intelligent, he still has no great desire to walk. He can walk, but I think the three accidents he had in two days has shied him away from it lately. When he decides it's time, I have no doubt he'll start RUNNING (mostly after his sister!) His 1 year appointment went well (except for the shots:)) He is tall and skinny (75% for height at 30 1/4 inches and 5% for weight at 18 1/4 lbs.) I have no doubt that he is over 20 pounds now, because that boy can EAT! He eats everything and anything! At times its seems like he eats more than an adult! I'm guessing this is only the beginning of that, but it's nice right now because I don't have to think about what to give him, just make sure it's cut small enough. He still only has four teeth, but it's so cute! He is still as sweet as can be when he wants to be :) He is not amused when his sister takes things from him or gets in his face (which happens regularly) and he is known for his 'squeal' when he's upset. The poor thing gets a bit frustrated because he can't talk yet (although he's really starting to mimic words when you ask him too!) so he is constantly screaming or 'squealing,' which, as you might guess does not make his Mommy too happy :) Other than that, he's still the easy going, lovable Ta-ta :) He gives the BEST hugs.

I know there's so much more to tell, but I just have no time! Hopefully, if I start here, I won't be so far behind (no comment ML.)
Gustav sat in the wagon and still scored on candy! He is still trying to figure out this whole trick-or-treating thing, since he didn't even get to eat the candy :(
Piglet (yes, she has a tail!) and Kayla hitting someone up for candy! Callie had so much fun trick-or-treating! When we were finishing, she kept saying how heavy her bag was!
Trick-or-treating! We met up with Kayla, Chloe and Michelle for a picture and to hit a couple houses!
Posing with Amber, their newest babysitter and another one of their favorite nursery women!
Callie got a heart painted on her face. When I wiped it off before bed, she got so sad and started crying :(

While Dave was here we all went for a 4 mile hike up to Apple Orchard Falls. It was a tough hike, but lots of fun! I carried Gustav on my back and Gus carried Callie. Here they are taking a rest near the top!

Callie's favorite game!

Callie's newest favorite game is to take all of the toys out of the toybox and get in it and close the lid. Then she calls for Gustav "Gustav, I'm waiting!" and Gustav opens the lid and peeks in at her.

Gus had a boquet of 30 red roses waiting for me on our table at Metro! (our favorite restaurant here.) The four of us went out to dinner on my birthday and Meg babysat the kids.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY GUSTAV!

Today is the big day! One year ago today, little Ta-ta was born. Little did anyone know, he would soon capture the heart of every person he meets. I constantly hear "if I could be guaranteed a Ta-ta, I would definitely have another baby." They obviously don't live with him :) (just joking Gustav.) Honestly, I have yet to meet someone that isn't awed by him, both his cuteness and his somewhat shy and happy personality.

We celebrated his birthday as a family on Saturday, so we could make a day of it. I posted some pictures below. I think he had a great birthday celebration and, as Gus said, "it was the best birthday Callie ever had!" Luckily, Gustav knows he can't win with his sister and, after ripping a few presents open, graciously let Callie take over. Gustav has been thoroughly enjoying his new toys (when Callie lets him) and I've had some peaceful days!

I'm quite behind in blogging lately, but I will try to catch up soon. I have a ton of great pictures to post and probably some news, or at least milestones for the kids that I will try to write about soon.

This post was for the sole purpose of wishing my sweet baby boy a Happy Birthday! We're so glad you were born!!
Gustav, don't look so scared!
